The Free Society People’s Library is a circulating lending library with over one thousand books and zines. We have a new and growing collection featuring nonfiction, fiction, graphic novels and comics, Spanish language, children’s and young adult, and zines.
The library is open to the public and everyone is welcome to sign up for a library card in person.

There are no late fees or fines for damaged or lost books.
Our current checkout limit is two items.
The borrowing period is 30 days, and you may renew online for another 30 days.
You may place a hold online to be picked up in person for up to two books at a time. Holds will be reshelved after two weeks if they not claimed.

Click “Patron Login” in the upper right
Enter the email address that you provided to get your library card or your library card barcode
Check your email to get your password
Log in and reset your password
You can pick up your physical library card in person when you visit the truck

Log in to your patron account
Click on the book you want and click “Add Hold”
In the box that appears at the bottom of the screen, click “Complete”
Pick up your book at any library shift within two weeks

Log in to your patron account
Click “Patron Page” on the left side
Click “Renew” next to the book you want to renew. After one renewal period of 30 days, we ask that you return the book for others.

We have several dozen books available for groups to check out and read together, with at least 10 copies each. These are indicated by a green dot on their spine in the library and can also be searched in our catalog under the tag “Group Study.” If you are interested in checking out a set, please visit us in person or contact us at freesocietylibrary@gmail.com.
